Matt Bondy
Matt’s family ancestry traces back to the first group of settlers in Pointe Coupee who sailed here from France in 1719 so his roots and his love for Pointe Coupee Parish and the False River area run deep. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1982 and became a real estate associate with False River Realty right out of college. At that time the late Stuart Wooddy was the owner and broker of False River Realty and became Matt’s mentor and good friend. Matt has continued to be a top-producing REALTOR since 1982. In 2002 he received his broker’s license and in 2012 he and his wife, Mary Dale, became the owners of False River Realty. Matt is (and has always been) very involved in civic, community, and church activities. For decades he has been a member of the New Roads Lions Club, holding various offices in the club, and reigning as King of its Mardi Gras parade in 2010. He and his wife have three grown children and he feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to raise them in such a wonderful, family-oriented community.
